Director, Medical Managed Care

Sarepta Therapeutics seeks a Director of Medical Managed Care to serve as a field-based scientific liaison for payer and managed care organizations. This role focuses on developing and executing communication strategies for Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other Sarepta products, ensuring credible and consistent key messaging to public and private payers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute payer communication plans delivering scientific, clinical, and health economic information
• Build and maintain relationships with clinical decision makers in payer and managed care communities
• Prepare fair-balanced responses to clinical and scientific concerns from payer and managed care customers
• Assist in developing payer tools and dossiers demonstrating product value and safe use
• Provide leadership with customer insights and business recommendations; attend select scientific conferences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; MD, PhD, or PharmD strongly preferred
• 10+ years related experience with 3-5 years in pharmaceutical industry, managed care, or similar field-based medical roles
• Strong scientific, pharmaceutical, and health outcomes knowledge with US healthcare system understanding
• Track record of compliance with industry and regulatory guidelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in ambiguous environments
• Willingness to travel more than 50%; authorization to work in the United States required
