Position Title Lecturer - Psychology - College of Letters and Sciences Job Category Academic Staff Employment Type Terminal (Fixed Term) Job Profile Lecturer Location University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (Whitewater, WI) Position Summary The Department of Psychology in the College of Letters & Sciences at UW‑Whitewater seeks a half‑time lecturer in School Psychology beginning August 2026. The role involves teaching graduate courses, supervising practicum placements and applied research projects. The appointment is 9‑month fixed term. Responsibilities Teach two graduate courses per semester in the School Psychology Program. Supervise student practicum experiences and applied research projects. Collaborate on curricular changes and program innovations. Teach in various formats (in‑person, online, hybrid) and during evenings. Ensure materials are digitally accessible and use standard technology platforms supported by UW‑Whitewater. Conditions of Appointment UW‑Whitewater does not offer H‑1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at hire and throughout employment. This position is not an e‑verify employer. Compensation Minimum starting salary of $25,000, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. Additional opportunities to teach during summer months may be available. Required Qualifications Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in School Psychology from a NASP approved/accredited program. At least two years full‑time experience as a school psychologist and National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP). Licensure (or license‑eligible) in Wisconsin required for practicum supervision. Evidence of potential for effective teaching with student‑centered high‑impact practices. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated record of effective teaching. Demonstrated record of commitment to inclusivity. Commitment to socially just practices that promote equitable educational outcomes for children. Experience assessing and supporting culturally and linguistically diverse children. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Willingness and ability to participate in safety rules and necessary training and drills. Education Ed.S. degree in School Psychology.
