Purchasing Agent
Pay: $48,000-$50,000 per year
Location: Near New Lebanon, NY
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
About the Role
Our manufacturing client is looking for a Purchasing Agent to join their team and play a key role in keeping production running smoothly. In this role, you'll be the connective tissue between the shop floor, engineering, and the supplier network - making sure the right materials and components arrive at the right time, in the right quantities, to keep operations moving without interruption.
Duties

• Enter and receive purchase orders for goods and services
• Follow up with suppliers on delivery dates and issues
• Report delivery information to management
• Maintain, assess, and update key purchasing data, such as lead time, order minimums and multiples, and supermarket/kanban sizing
• Provide sourcing support for engineering and management
• Assist with other administrative duties related to inventory, shipping, production, and similar areas as needed

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher preferred
• Purchasing experience
• Background in manufacturing or distribution
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly in purchasing
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be supplier-facing via phone, email, or in person
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to treat others respectfully
• Strong work ethic and excellent attendance
