RN - PCU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience required Experience with neuro patients Must be trained on epilepsy monitoring unit for monitoring and interviewing patients Description:This position is for a Registered Nurse in a combined progressive care and medical-surgical unit.The emphasis will be on neuroscience patients, but care for overflow patients from various disciplines is also expected.Floating between the two units is required.A nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-5 will be maintained depending on acuity.Experience in telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential.Dysrhythmia management and pre/post-neurosurgery care skills are needed.Candidates must comply with required certifications, including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and additional competency exams.Candidates are encouraged to discuss prior employment at the facility to ensure eligibility for rehire.Locals within a specified radius are not accepted for this position.Candidates may be required to work during winter holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
