Restaurant Description
NOWON is a Korean-American restaurant built on bold flavors, genuine hospitality, and an energetic atmosphere. We are looking for a General Manager who is excited to lead a team, drive results, and take ownership of a restaurant.
Position Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, including operations, team development, guest experience, and financial performance.
This is a leadership role with significant ownership and autonomy. The General Manager is expected to make decisions, solve problems, develop leaders, and continuously improve the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop managers and hourly team members.
Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top talent.
Hire and develop an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help support the operation.
Build a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture.
Operations
Ensure consistent execution of food, beverage, service, and hospitality standards.
Maintain health department, safety, and company compliance standards.
Identify operational challenges and implement solutions proactively.
Partner closely with the culinary leadership team.
Financial & Business Performance
Manage labor, scheduling, and controllable expenses.
Drive sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
Monitor key business metrics and take action when needed.
Take ownership of the restaurant's overall performance.

Qualifications
3+ years of restaurant management experience.
Full-service restaurant experience required.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with hiring, scheduling, training, and team development.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
