Traveling Cable Technician

Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years of experience as a cable, telecom, or DC power technician\n• Experience in central office and/or head end environments\n• Knowledge of: \n\t• Cable pulling and lacing\n\t• Data room standards\n\t• Rack and stack installations\n\t• Fiber installation\n\t• DC power systems\n\t• Battery backup systems\n\t• Telecom power distribution equipment\n• Understanding of AC to DC power conversion within telecom environments\n• Comfortable with extensive travel and project-based assignments\n• Must supply own basic tools, including: \n\t• Drill guns\n\t• Screwdrivers
• Install and manage telecom cabling in central office, head end, and shelter environments\n• Pull, lace, and organize cables following telecom and data room standards\n• Install and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cabling\n• Perform rack and stack installations of telecom equipment\n• Assist with fiber installation and head end buildouts\n• Install and support DC power systems, battery backup systems, and power distribution equipment\n• Work with telecom equipment built to central office standards
