Behavioral Health Technician

Role Description The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for implementing ABA-based treatment plans with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related conditions. Day-to-day activities include providing one-to-one behavioral interventions, teaching communication and social skills, collecting and documenting data, and following protocols developed by supervising clinicians. The role involves collaborating with caregivers, educators, and clinical staff to support consistent implementation of strategies across clinic, school, home, and community settings. This is a contract, hybrid role based in Baltimore, MD, with a mix of on-site sessions and some work-from-home tasks such as documentation, training, and virtual team meetings. The technician is expected to maintain professional, ethical standards of care and contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment for children and families. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis for implementing treatment plans and interventions. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for collaborating with families, supervisors, and school personnel. Candidates should possess Behavioral Intervention skills for managing challenging behaviors and teaching adaptive skills. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Psychology to understand child development, learning, and behavior. Experience working with children with ASD or developmental disabilities in clinical, school, or home settings. Ability to follow structured protocols, collect accurate data, and use electronic documentation systems. Capacity to work in a hybrid model in Baltimore, MD, including reliable transportation to local sites. High school diploma required; college coursework or degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred. RBT certification or willingness to obtain it is highly beneficial.
