Floor Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Floor Manager to support daily operations at Hilltop Tavern. This role works closely with ownership and management to ensure excellent guest experiences, efficient restaurant operations, and a positive team environment.

The Floor Manager helps oversee staff, maintain service standards, and ensure both restaurants operate smoothly during all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations

• Assist in managing daily front-of-house operations
• Ensure smooth service during busy shifts
• Monitor cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the restaurant
• Help manage opening and closing procedures

Staff Leadership

• Support hiring, training, and coaching of staff
• Supervise servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff during shifts
• Help create a positive, team-focused work environment
• Address employee concerns and provide guidance when needed

Guest Experience

• Ensure guests receive excellent service and hospitality
• Resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently
• Maintain high standards for food presentation and service

Administrative Support

• Assist with scheduling and shift coverage
• Help manage inventory and supplies
• Support daily cash handling and end-of-shift reporting
• Communicate important updates to staff and management

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR previous restaurant or hospitality management experience required
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations is a plus
