Data Product Manager

Salary: $83,200 - 157,630 per year Requirements:

• We need a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• We require at least 6 years of experience in data governance, product management, business analysis, data engineering, data science, or a closely related area.
• We prefer at least 3 years of focused experience with data products or other data-driven initiatives.
• We look for experience working across multiple functional teams and partnering closely with business stakeholders.
• We need a strong executive presence and the ability to guide cross-functional partners through every phase of a project while serving as the primary contact for business data needs.

• We need a solid understanding of data technologies, integration, and architecture, including cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, modern data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks, and processing frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark.
• We value experience with BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau, as well as data analytics, data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL.
• We look for knowledge of financial services workflows, including data management, card transactions, core banking deposits, customer processing, loan processing, payments, and fraud management.
• Bonus points for experience defining data risk and familiarity with privacy and data risk standards in financial services.
• Bonus points for proficiency with Informatica data management tools and defining data concepts.
• Bonus points for the ability to capture business needs and drive a rollout plan for banking data products.

• We translate business needs into detailed data product specifications and technical requirements.
• We partner with data engineering, data science, data governance, and platform teams to build and launch data products.
• We work with the Data Product Owner to shape, communicate, and advocate for the vision, mission, and strategic roadmap for our data products.
• We evaluate complex business challenges and recommend leading practices to improve and differentiate our data products.
• We develop and maintain the product roadmap, including release timing, backlog management, and planning for the pipeline ahead.
• We prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demand, and business objectives.
• We create and maintain product documentation such as user guides, technical specifications, and FAQs, including data mapping, lineage, definitions, and controls in our data management tooling.
• We co-design the full data product lifecycle from idea generation and prototyping through testing, deployment, and support.
• We understand how data from multiple sources is integrated into our products.
• We ensure our products are scalable, reliable, secure, and aligned with industry regulations and standards.
• We define and track KPIs to assess product performance and business impact.
• We analyze product results to identify opportunities for optimization and recommend improvements.
• We communicate product progress, strategic direction, and performance measures to stakeholders with clarity and transparency.
• We explain complex technical ideas in a way that non-technical audiences can understand.
• We help foster a culture of trust and accountability within the data product team and across stakeholders, including supporting team skill development.
