Must-Have: Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips independently. Must pass the Basic Dysrhythmia exam. Prefer Neuro and Cardiac experience; not a deal breaker.

Description: Candidates must be willing to float between campuses as needed. Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination. RNs are required to read and interpret their own strips. There are telemetry technicians on the unit. Charge nurse on days does not take an assignment; night charge takes assignment if short-staffed. Staffing ratios are 1:4-5 for both days and nights. The unit has 35 beds and includes a mix of telemetry and observation patients. Common diagnoses include CHF, post-CABG, dysrhythmias, and EP cases. Self-scheduling is allowed but will be finalized by management. The unit follows protocols for administering common intravenous drips. The unit is a Joint Commission certified heart attack and stroke center. Great communication and resources are available for staff. Travelers are welcomed and often extend placements.
