MRI Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6:30am; holidays, on call, callback per unit needs.

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate the MRI machine efficiently and ensure patient comfort before and during the scanning procedure. This role involves coordinating with the patient's physician to ensure timely receipt of results and maintaining a safe scanning environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) certification required.
• Valid New York State Rad Tech license (must be willing to obtain after starting).
• Injection certification required.
• Experience with GE scanners is mandatory.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
