Full-Time School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) – Newark, CA

? Pay Rate: $54 – $90/hour (Commensurate with Experience) + Sign-On Bonus Available!

Position Summary

Platinum Therapy is seeking multiple passionate, Full-Time Occupational Therapists for rewarding in-person, school-based roles within the Newark Unified School District in Newark, CA . In this role, you will partner directly with local schools to evaluate students, manage IEP goals, and provide essential OT services that help students access their education and build lifelong functional skills.

• Provide school-based evaluations and IEP-directed occupational therapy services.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for initial student eligibility or triennial re-evaluations.

• Develop, implement, and monitor student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and actively participate in IEP meetings.

• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.

• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school multidisciplinary teams to support student success.

• Current California Occupational Therapist (OT) License.

• Direct professional experience as a contributing member of school IEP teams.

• Proven experience conducting pediatric occupational therapy assessments.

• Strong working knowledge of school-based service models and special education regulations.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
