VCA Bayview Animal Hospital is a multi-doctor small animal practice in Toms River, New Jersey. We are seeking a highly experienced Technician Supervisor to join our 3-doctor small animal practice in Toms River, New Jersey—located in Ocean County. The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care with exceptional client service. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience—preferably in a supervisory role.

Strong technical and interpersonal skills are required and one must be dedicated to maintaining the positive work environment that is fostered here.

In the supervisor role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

\n
• Directing work flow on the floor
\n
• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills 
\n
• Help with the interview process for potential new hires 
\n
• Technician Scheduling 
\n
• Assists in staffing and coverage where needed 
\n
• Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training 
\n
• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience 
\n
• Mentoring technicians within the department 
\n
• Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service 
\n
• Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
