Substitute School Nurse

School Nurse

Duties:

1. Provide nursing services to students and the school community as needed
2. Administer medications as required by doctor's order
3. Monitor student health plans
4. Collaborate with school personnel and parents
5. Provide emergency treatment as needed to staff and students

Requirements:

• State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Ability to function autonomously within guidelines
• Strong assessment skills, good communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse population
• Familiarity and comfort with computer programs
• Previous school nursing/substitute nursing experience preferred
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
