Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers and turning centers Develop machining processes, tooling selections, setups, and part programs for custom projects Machine components to moderate tolerances (0.005") while maintaining exceptional quality standards Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment Manufacture custom precision components supporting large industrial repair projects Collaborate with machinists, engineers, field service teams, and supervisors to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods Optimize CNC programs, tooling, and machining processes for quality and productivity improvements Set up and operate CNC boring mills, lathes, and machining centers Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area Complete quality documentation and inspection records accurately Uphold and promote a culture where safety is always the highest priority What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 23 years of CNC machining experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings Experience operating CNC machining equipment and performing setups Knowledge of feeds, speeds, cutting tools, and machining practices Ability to inspect and verify dimensions including diameters, lengths, flatness, and straightness Basic understanding of GD&T and conversational programming Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Qualifications Journeyman certification or 2-year Technical Degree Experience with Haas machining centers (vertical, horizontal, and/or turning) Experience with G&L boring mills Experience with G & M code programming CAM software experience, preferably Mastercam Familiarity with carbide drills, end mills, inserted cutters, and boring tooling Experience machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials Experience using Faro CMM or advanced metrology equipment The Ideal Candidate You are a problem solver who enjoys transforming raw material into precision components.
