# PHYSICIANHonesdale, PA 18431## OverviewPosition TypeFull TimeEducation LevelLicensureCategoryProfessional Services## DescriptionThis Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) provider role offers primary care at our Veterans Affairs (VA) health clinic, leading multi-disciplinary teams, diagnosing and treating both chronic and acute conditions, and delivering care in a rural setting.## Qualifications| || --- || **Minimum Qualifications:** |* Maintain, in good standing, an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.* Maintain an unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency license.* Remain in good standing as a member of the Medical Staff of Hospital.* Abide by the ethics of the medical profession and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.* Knowledge of professional medical theory, practice, and medical care to give and evaluate patient care.* Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.* Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.* Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.* Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques as a professional health care provider; in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings.* Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.* Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance, in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.* Ability to maintain quality control standards and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.* Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures and to communicate clearly. #J-18808-Ljbffr
