Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Masters degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Active New Mexico Physical Therapist license (required)
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Ability to effectively assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy plans for students
• Strong communication skills for partnering with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organizational skills to manage caseloads across multiple school sites

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services to students K-12 to help them achieve academic success and physical independence
• Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and adapt strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
• Support the development of IEPs by collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families
• Monitor progress and maintain thorough, accurate documentation for compliance and reporting
• Offer recommendations for adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and inclusive participation in school activities
• Educate staff and family members on supportive practices for students with physical challenges
