Senior Electrical Engineer

Sr. Electrical Engineer "Design/Consultant"Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will focus on engineering design within industrial power systems, specifically AC power systems ranging from 120V-15kV, and PLC control systems, all under the review and approval of a Sr. engineer.ResponsibilitiesCollect and prepare data/information and perform detailed engineering calculations such as short circuit, voltage drop, cable/conduit/cable tray sizing, arc flash, lighting, and heat trace.Design detailed drawing packages including electrical one-line diagrams, installation details, bills of material, panel schedules, lighting plans, motor schematics, conduit/cable plans, and field wiring diagrams.Create specifications for various electrical equipment like transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers.Complete designs using the National Electric Code and other applicable standards.Work with and provide direction to electrical designers.Assist in fieldwork, checking installations, and engaging in problem-solving activities.Essential SkillsProficiency in power engineering and power system design.Experience with Revit, ETAP, NFPA, and electrical systems design.Ability to use AutoDesk REViT for 3D modeling and AutoCad for 2D designs.Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, and NFPA standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsEngineering Technology degree or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus in power systems.10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.PE license preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Work EnvironmentThe office is located in downtown Greenville, offering paid parking. The role primarily involves working in a stationary position, with frequent movement such as walking, reaching, climbing stairs, and using repetitive motions. The office environment is free from adverse conditions, but site visits may expose you to conditions like extreme temperatures and moderate to high noise levels. Safety protections provided by the client or company are mandatory. Occasional travel to other locations or client sites may be required, necessitating a valid driver's license and auto insurance.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52.88 - $76.92/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
