Position Overview- Department: Outpatient Physical Therapy
- Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 8 hours, Monday to Friday
- Facility: Orthopedic Center
- Location: Auburn, ME 04210
- Work in a hospital-based outpatient environment.
- Utilize an EMR system integrated with all healthcare providers in the region.
- Practice hours are weekdays from 7 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Focus on individualized patient care with one-on-one sessions.
- No double bookings or overlapping appointments.
- Schedule is driven by therapists.
- New graduates in Physical Therapy are encouraged to apply, with mentorship and training opportunities available.
We are an integrated healthcare delivery system serving around 400,000 residents in central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of over 40 primary and specialty care locations. Our system includes a regional referral hospital, which features the only Cancer Care Center in the area, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and a heart and vascular institute. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist, you will provide medically prescribed services to assess, treat, and restore function, enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities. Your patient-centered care will align with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices.
- Conduct patient evaluations and physical therapy assessments.
- Create and implement tailored treatment plans.
- Administer therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation and functional enhancement.
- Track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and recovery objectives.
- Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and patient safety standards.
- Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate, or Certificate).
- Current state Physical Therapy license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire, with maintenance required.
