Receptionist (As-Needed Contract)

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Position Type: Contract | Project Based

Schedule: Coverage for vacations, absences, and peak workload periods

Are you someone who enjoys interacting with people and providing exceptional customer service? We are seeking a Receptionist to provide front desk support on a project and as-needed basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a flexible schedule while serving as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist walk-in visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls
• Take accurate messages and communicate information to department leaders and staff
• Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed
• Maintain a professional and organized reception area
• Assist with scheduling, data entry, filing, and other office tasks when requested
• Support office operations during employee vacations, absences, and special projects

Qualifications:

• Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or office support experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
• Professional, friendly, and customer-focused demeanor
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
• Reliable and adaptable with the ability to step into new environments quickly
