Neonatology, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner-NewBorn Nursery

Overview IDEAL NNP OPPORTUNITY! Belmont (Charlotte Metro Region), North Carolina! Responsibilities We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full‑time neonatal nurse practitioner to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10‑bed LDRP Level‑I Nursery, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center‑Belmont, scheduled to open late 2024. This Level‑1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year. Average daily census of about 5 newborns. NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested, and will take call from home. Practitioners will stabilize, manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher‑level care. The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs with the sibling Level‑III NICU staffed by 2 neonatologists and 5‑6 NNPs who provide care at CaroMont Regional Medical Center‑Gastonia, which is only 7 miles away. Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the Level‑III NICU in Gastonia may be possible; this position is for the Level‑I nursery. Hospital Information Belmont Medical Center is located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, which has non‑stop flights to over 180 destinations.
