Registered Nurse - Oncology (RN)We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in the treatment area. This role involves utilizing specialized nursing skills to support cancer patients through their treatment journey.ResponsibilitiesAdminister chemotherapy and other IV medications according to established protocols.Assess and monitor patient health and progress, documenting changes and interventions.Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and care options.Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and responses.Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.ScheduleThe position requires availability for day shifts, Monday to Friday, with typical hours from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM. Orientation will be held every Monday, starting in a hands-on training role before progressing to floor duties.QualificationsCurrent Kansas or Compact RN License and BLS certification required.Experience in oncology or infusion nursing is necessary.Familiarity with accessing ports, starting IVs, and administering IV medications is preferred but not mandatory.New graduates will not be considered for this position.Compliance and Health Requirements2 STEP TB test or blood draw completed within the past 12 months.Immunization records or titers for Hepatitis B, Varicella, and MMR within the past 12 months.TDAP vaccination is mandatory.Additional InformationApplicants should be prepared to perform clock-in and clock-out procedures at the facility, as well as using mobile applications for payroll tracking.Client Details Address 325 Maine St, Lawrence, KS 66044 City Lawrence State KS Zip Code 66044
