Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ years of experience for a night shift position, requiring current MI RT licensure.

Details

• Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend requirement
• No call requirement
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Work settings may include Emergency Department, NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, and Pediatrics

Requirements

• Current RRT credential
• Michigan RT license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA)
• NRP and PALS certifications preferred (AHA)
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Proficiency in ventilator management, including BiPAP, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation weaning
• Skilled in airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and suctioning
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures such as Bubble CPAP, Oscillating Ventilator, and blood gas draws preferred
• Knowledge of medication delivery systems and administration including nebulizer treatments and MDI
• Experience caring for patients with ARDS, COVID, pneumonia, and other respiratory conditions preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination required for consideration
• Supervisor-level reference required

Additional Information

• Must be available for full orientation week
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Travelers are first to float
• Maximum RTO of 10 days
• Previous Bronson internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• Annual and orientation modules are self-reported and completed as part of onboarding
