CR262/4 - Network Architect

Job Summary (Network Architect - CR262)
- Serve as the primary technical principal responsible for delivering enterprise-level network solutions.
- Lead the planning, design, implementation, and operation of network infrastructure projects (LAN, WAN, Cloud, Data Center, Security, VoIP, Wireless, Video).
- Oversee technical and communication aspects of network project deployments to ensure smooth execution.
- Design and implement network solutions using advanced technologies including AWS, Azure, Palo Alto, F5, Forcepoint, and Cisco.
- Ensure network security by reviewing designs for risks, enforcing policies, and managing access controls.
- Automate network deployment and operations using tools like Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Build and document new infrastructure environments following best practices and compliance standards.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to internal engineering teams.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance; respond to outages and schedule upgrades.
- Provide 24x7 support for network operations and incident response.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a liaison with vendors/third-party providers.
- Participate in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and performance analysis for network scalability.
- Maintain administrative scripting skills (Perl, UNIX shell, Python) and use network monitoring tools (Wireshark, Nagios, OpenNMS, etc.).
- Deliver hands-on configuration, deployment, and support for enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto), load balancers (F5), routing/switching (Cisco), and cloud services (AWS).
- Maintain current certifications (AWS Solution Architect, CCNP required; CCIE, AWS Advanced certifications preferred).
- Provide both on-site and remote technical assistance to resources and customers as needed.
- Ensure alignment with organizational mission by achieving related project objectives and deliverables.
Note: Local Bay Area candidates preferred; travel as needed per project requirements.
