Surgical Coordinator

Position Overview Under the direction of medical providers, this position’s primary function is to schedule surgical procedures. The responsibilities of the Surgical Scheduler include scheduling surgical procedures in ORSOS, scheduling all pre‑ and post‑operative appointments and obtaining authorization. The Surgical Scheduler works closely with the clinical team, medical providers and hospital staff to provide timely care for patients. Responsibilities Schedule surgical procedures in ORSOS. Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent. Two (2) years of experience in healthcare OR two (2) years of experience in customer service. Proficient PC skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Preference for AAS in an accredited MOA program or equivalent. Knowledge of insurance referral process. Basic computer skills (HER, Excel, Microsoft Office). Previous experience in OR scheduling. License/Certification Current driver’s license. Work Schedule Primary Department: UHS Urology Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience.
