As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in an Agile environment, working closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, developers, and Scrum Masters to transform business needs into actionable requirements that drive the development of mission-critical applications. Responsibilities Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements. Translate business needs into user stories, features, epics, and acceptance criteria for Agile development teams. Manage and refine product backlogs to ensure alignment with business priorities and mission objectives. Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to support sprint planning, release planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization activities. Work with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure requirements are clearly understood and successfully implemented. Facilitate communication between business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Support the development of product roadmaps and participate in integrated release planning activities. Review completed work and validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and acceptance criteria. Participate in product demonstrations, stakeholder reviews, and sprint retrospectives, providing feedback and reporting outcomes. Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and support innovation across the program. Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while working effectively with cross-functional and technically diverse teams. Qualifications Required: Active Secret Clearance. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting Agile software development projects. Demonstrated experience gathering, documenting, and managing complex business requirements. Experience translating business requirements into user stories, features, epics, and acceptance criteria. Experience managing Agile backlogs using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and iterative software development practices. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Project, and Visio. Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. Desired: Certified Product Owner certification. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification. Pay Range There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
