Job Description
The Emergency Department at TriStar Stonecrest Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care. The unit features 39 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1 (with surge bed assignments), and a variety of equipment including Rapid Infuser and Glidescope. The nursing team works collaboratively to ensure effective patient care and positive experiences.
Responsibilities
- Administer critical care medications and manage sedation protocols.
- Assume responsibility for patient assessment and monitoring during emergencies.
- Perform life-saving procedures including intubation, chest tube insertion, and splinting.
- Ensure accurate documentation using the Meditech EDM system.
- Collaborate with team members to provide compassionate and effective care.
Required Experience
- Experience with critical care drips, sedation, Emergency Severity Index (ESI), and managing codes.
- Experience with STEMI, Stroke, and Sepsis management.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications are required.
- Active Tennessee RN License.
