Civil Litigation Attorney

A well-established Charlotte law firm is seeking a Defense Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who has gained some hands-on litigation experience and is ready to continue developing their skills while taking on greater responsibility in a collaborative, professional environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working on civil litigation matters and be comfortable assisting with cases throughout the litigation process. The firm is looking for someone who is a strong writer, communicates well with clients and colleagues, and is interested in building a long‑term litigation practice. Responsibilities Handle a variety of civil litigation matters from initial investigation through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents Conduct and respond to written discovery Take and defend depositions Attend hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings Conduct legal research and develop case strategy Communicate directly with clients regarding case status and strategy Work closely with partners and other attorneys on complex matters Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials as experience allows Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Active North Carolina Bar license or ability to become licensed in North Carolina Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills i>Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines Comfortable taking increasing ownership of cases while working as part of a team This is a strong opportunity for an attorney who has developed a solid litigation foundation and is looking for more substantive experience, client interaction, and opportunities to grow as a litigator within an established Charlotte practice. #J-18808-Ljbffr Carolina Legal Staffing
