The workplace values reliability, respect, and collaboration among all staff. Role Description The Pizza Maker is a full-time, on-site role based at Custom Crust Kitchen in Peabody, MA. This role is responsible for preparing sauces, and toppings, assembling pizzas according to recipes and customer requests, and operating ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining food quality and presentation standards, following food safety and sanitation guidelines, and keeping the prep and cooking areas clean and organized. The Pizza Maker will also interact with guests and team members, support order accuracy, and assist with general kitchen duties such as restocking, labeling, and cleaning. This role works closely with the owner to ensure timely service and a positive guest experience. Qualifications Strong skills in food preparation and cooking, with attention to food safety and quality. Experience or comfort working in food & beverage settings, such as restaurants or quick-service kitchens. Customer service skills with a focus on friendly, efficient, and respectful interactions. Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced setting. Previous pizza-making or line cook experience is helpful but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
