Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: Sacramento, CA 95817 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: Not Specified Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Job Category: Other Primary Duties Provide support to Case Manager by assisting with teaching and supporting life skills. Teach independent living skills: personal care, household care, clothing care, food shopping and preparation, organizational skills, using transportation, managing money, either through workshops or one-to-one. Lead peer support groups. Assist with events and activities with the participants in this program. Provide transportation to appointments as needed. Participate in LSS’s Youth 4 Change group (Youth Advisory Board – YAB). Document activities with youth. Participate in weekly case conferencing. Qualifications Lived experience of housing insecurity, foster care system, or homelessness. *Preferred Experience in/and or willingness to work with youth, families, and/or low-income persons with disabilities, as well as demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, relate, and work empathetically with staff and clients from multi-cultural, diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Willingness to gain knowledge of the local work force and employment issues and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse agencies. Ability to work effectively in a team setting. Computer literate and has word processing skills. Experience with Microsoft Word and excel. Must pass a background check including finger printing, DMV and Child Abuse Central Index records check.
