Construction Manager - NYC ($5M-$50M Projects)

Role Description

We are a New York City–based real estate development and construction firm seeking a sharp, seasoned Construction Manager to join our team and take ownership of projects from preconstruction through Certificate of Occupancy.

You will manage and supervise $5M–$50M small-to-midsize construction projects across New York City — ground-up, complex Alt-1s, additions, and gut renovations. You’ll be the point person in the field and in the office, coordinating GCs, subs, and consultants while keeping projects on schedule, on budget, and fully compliant with NYC DOB requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise and track all phases of construction from preconstruction through CO

• Coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, and trades (plumbing, electrical, structural, MEP, etc.)

• Read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and CAD plans

• Navigate NYC DOB filings, inspections, codes, and regulations with confidence

• Maintain schedules, logs, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation

• Represent ownership in the field — hold subs accountable and drive performance

• Work collaboratively in a lean, entrepreneurial office environment and pitch in wherever needed

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of NYC-specific construction project management experience on Alt-1 or ground-up projects — non-negotiable

• Hands-on experience with ground-up construction and complex Alt-1 renovations/additions

• Engineering or architectural degree required — Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture strongly preferred

• Strong proficiency in CAD, Revit, and related construction management software — not just reading plans but actively working in these programs

• Deep familiarity with NYC DOB, building code, and local regulations

• The ability to speak the language of every trade in the room and get the best out of them

• A motivated, professional, and likable team player who thrives in a small-office culture

• Someone who takes pride in their work and sees a project through — start to finish

Please do not apply if you do not have at least five years of NYC project management experience specifically on complex Alt-1s, additions, renovations, and/or ground-up construction — light renovation experience alone does not qualify.
