Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.Role Overview The Supervisor, Sample Management provides line-level management of resources and work schedules for entry-level staff within service functions. Oversees the quality and productivity of daily operations. Oversees daily operations in support of facility readiness, equipment deployment and maintenance, and/or sample management and logistics functions. Supports the implementation of company policies, quality systems and training programs. Performs and/or delegates activities necessary to ensure deliverables are met and clients are satisfied with the quality and turnaround time of work being performed. Ensures that staff receive proper training and continue to be developed to keep pace with department goals and growth.A Day in the LifeManages the day-to-day activities of staff within a section or department, which may include interviewing and selection, goal setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring.Creates work schedules and assignments and trains staff and assesses competence.Reviews and approves time records, requests for leave, overtime.Monitors performance metrics for quality and productivity and recommends process improvement and efficiency gains.Investigates and resolves problems. Participates in audits and general capabilities department tours. Participates in on-call responsibilities.Responds to client questions and needs, coordinates client communication.Assists and acts as back-up to management, when needed.Assists in preparation and implementation of PPD/client SOPs and company operational policies. Ensures adherence to SOPs, safety standards and company policies.Education & Experience Requirements:Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 5 years).High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification1+ year of leadership responsibilityIn some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
