Saugus Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced

Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician

to join our collaborative patient-focused team. We are a busy three-doctor small animal practice committed to providing exceptional patient care while fostering a supportive positive environment for both our clients and team members. Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during appointments treatments and procedures Safely restrain patients for examinations diagnostics and treatments Collect blood urine fecal and other laboratory samples Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratories Prepare exam rooms treatment areas and surgical suites Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes in condition Assist with anesthesia monitoring surgical preparation and patient recovery (based on experience) Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Take and process radiographs Educate clients on medications preventive care and discharge instructions Maintain accurate medical records Help keep the hospital clean organized and running efficiently Qualifications

Were looking for candidates who have: Previous experience working as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician (required) Strong patient restraint and animal handling skills Experience with laboratory procedures radiology and patient care Surgical and anesthesia experience is a plus Excellent communication and client service skills The ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment A positive attitude strong work ethic and willingness to support the team Schedule

Full-time position Choose between four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts One Saturday shift each month is required Benefits
