Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Overtime Available Based on Production Needs

We are seeking a dependable Molding Machine Operator to support daily production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will set up molds, operate production equipment, inspect finished products, and help maintain quality standards. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, machine operating, molding, assembly, or mechanical experience who enjoy hands-on work and learning new skills.

• Set up molds, dies, and tooling for production runs.
• Operate molding and production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance and production output throughout the shift.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify and report product defects or equipment issues.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of molds and equipment.
• Assist with mold changes and production changeovers.
• Document production information and completed work accurately.
• Follow work instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures.
• Work with team members to meet daily production goals.

• Previous manufacturing, machine operating, assembly, or production experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to identify and address basic production or quality issues.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Experience with molding, plastics manufacturing, casting, extrusion, or similar production processes.
• Experience performing machine setups or equipment changeovers.
• Familiarity with reading production specifications and work instructions.
• Experience working with hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

This position works in a busy manufacturing facility producing components used in critical electrical infrastructure. The facility is not climate controlled , and temperatures may become warm during the summer months. Employees work with molding and production equipment in a structured, safety-focused environment. The role involves standing, walking, lifting, and handling materials throughout the shift. Water is permitted at workstations to help employees stay hydrated.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
