Job Title: Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator
Job Location: Charlotte, NC (3 Days onsite, 2 Days work from home) hybrid role.
Job Type: 12+ Months contract
Job Descriptions:
- We are seeking a highly experienced Red Hat Linux Administrator to support large-scale patching, upgrades, and operational management of a 1000+ server Hadoop ecosystem running on RHEL 8.x and 9.x.
- The role requires strong automation skills, hands-on troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-availability enterprise environment
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environments.
Strong expertise in:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.x / 9.x
- OS patching, upgrades, and system hardening
- Proficiency in automation and scripting:
- Ansible
- BladeLogic
- Bash / Shell scripting
- Experience managing large-scale environments (1000+
- servers preferred).
- Strong experience with:
- Linux builds and provisioning
- Filesystem management (LVM, XFS, etc.)
- Performance monitoring and tuning
- Experience working in remote / distributed team environments.
- Experience working on Big Data Technologies
- Cloudera Admin / Dev Certification
- Certification in Cloud, Docker-Container, OpenShift Technologies
