California Licensed Workers' Compensation Underwriter

Managing a complex portfolio of Workers' Compensation accounts, the full-time Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter will provide advanced technical underwriting expertise, ensure compliance with guidelines, and cultivate broker relationships while working remotely in California. Key responsibilities: Underwrite new and renewal Workers' Compensation accounts, adhering to underwriting guidelines and state regulations Analyze submissions to select profitable risks and determine appropriate pricing and coverage structures Mentor junior underwriters and collaborate with internal teams to enhance underwriting practices and improve risk selection Required qualifications: Minimum of 6+ years of Workers' Compensation underwriting experience, with 8+ years preferred Strong knowledge of California Workers' Compensation regulations and rate environment Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field Active state Property & Casualty license (California preferred) Preferred industry designations include CPCU, ARM, or CIC
