Neurology Physician

Position Type: Locum Tenens or Permanent

Setting: Acute Care Academic Hospital (300 beds, including Behavioral Health and Maternity)
EMR: Meditech (legacy system)
Trauma Designation: Level I Adult Trauma, Level II Pediatric Trauma
Stroke Center: Yes Thrombectomy Capable

• Primary Need: Inpatient Neurologist (blended inpatient/outpatient model preferred)

• Consult Volume: new consults/week; average daily census

• Stroke Codes: 30/month (1 2 per day)

• Schedule: M F clinical work + 1 in 4 weekends

• Call: 2 overnight calls/week (phone only; rare facility call-ins)

• Current staffing: 1.5 FTEs in private practice (under-resourced)

• Long-term vision: Build a modern Neurology Division, employ providers, integrate APP support and Teleneurology

• APP support in development: 2 APPs planned, cross-trained for IP/OP

• Collaborate with residents in academic teaching setting

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology

• NY license

• Comfortable with high-acuity inpatient neurology

• Interest in developing a growing service line and mentoring residents

• Open to locum or permanent models
