If you are looking for exciting, flexible, and stimulating work with meaningful advancement opportunities available, then consider Beacon the right place for you!Job Duties/Responsibilities:Provides compassionate oncology nursing care to patientsAdministers prescribed chemotherapy and biologic treatments in accordance with nursing standards and under the direct supervision of a physicianAdministers hydration, iron treatments and injections as prescribedMonitors patients and assists them in being compliant with oral chemotherapyEducates and instruct patients and family members regarding medications and side effectsAccesses ports, PICC lines and start IVsOversees infusion schedules and maintains timely flow of patientsPerform therapeutic phlebotomyThis isn’t an exhaustive list of the position’s duties and responsibilities, but it covers its key aspects.Required Skills/Abilities:Compassionate and caring bedside mannerStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work extremely well in a group settingMust be able to lift 50 poundsEducation:Idaho RN License, required upon hireCPR/BLS certification, required upon hireONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card, upon hire or within 90 days of employmentBSN, preferredOCN certification, preferredInfusion experience, strongly preferredMedical oncology and rheumatology terminology, appreciated but not requiredPay: Starting at $38/hourBeacon Company Mission: To meet patients wherever they are on their cancer journey and walk with them on that journey; to provide compassionate, personalized cancer care for an unparalleled patient experience.Beacon Core Values: Compassion.
