NOW HIRING: LEAD BARTENDER

Oscar Wilde, one of New York City’s most iconic and high-volume restaurant bars, is seeking an experienced, creative, and team-oriented Lead Bartender .

This is a full-time, hands-on position for someone passionate about hospitality, cocktail development, and delivering an unforgettable guest experience. The Lead Bartender will work regular bartending shifts, support the floor during service, and help maintain strong standards throughout the bar program.

Responsibilities include:

• Bartending during high-volume shifts
• Creating seasonal and signature cocktails
• Maintaining consistent recipes, presentation, and service standards
• Training, mentoring, and supporting the bartending team
• Overseeing bar setup, preparation, cleanliness, and organization
• Assisting with inventory, ordering, product control, and waste reduction
• Engaging with guests and creating memorable experiences
• Collaborating with management, culinary, beverage, and service teams
• Supporting floor operations whenever needed

Ideal candidates will have:

• A minimum of three years of high-volume bartending experience
• Strong cocktail knowledge and proven mixology skills
• Previous experience as a Lead or Head Bartender preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, inventory, and beverage costs
• A professional, positive, and guest-focused attitude
• Full availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
• The ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment

This position offers the opportunity to contribute creatively to Oscar Wilde’s cocktail program and earn promotion to Head Bartender following a successful 90-day performance review.
