Job Summary Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data platforms and analytics solutions. This role will focus on building scalable data pipelines, managing cloud-based data infrastructure, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python, SQL, AWS, big data technologies, and modern data warehousing platforms. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role Contract Details Duration: 6+ Month Contract (Opportunity for Extension) Location: Plano, TX (Preferred) | Remote Considered Core Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes Build and optimize data solutions using Python and SQL Develop and manage cloud-based data architecture within AWS environments Work with big data technologies including Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka Design and maintain data models, data lakes, and data warehouses Utilize Databricks, Snowflake, and Redshift to support analytics and reporting initiatives Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions Monitor data quality, performance, and reliability across platforms Implement best practices for data governance, security, and scalability Required Skills & Experience (Must-Haves) Previous Financial Services industry experience 5+ years of Data Engineering experience Strong programming experience with Python Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services Experience with Spark, Hadoop, and/or Kafka Experience working with Databricks, Snowflake, and Redshift Experience building and supporting large-scale data pipelines Strong understanding of data warehousing and data architecture principles Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills & Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms Knowledge of real-time and streaming data architectures Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks Experience working in Agile environments Financial services industry experience Key Competencies & Behaviors Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality Passion for continuous improvement and innovation Work Environment Location: Plano, TX (Preferred) | Remote Considered Compensation &Benefits Pay Range:The approximate pay range for this position is between $52.00 and $75.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
