EVS Assistant Lead

Hourly Wage Estimate: $19.29 - $24.81 / hour Job Summary This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza by optimizing the quality of life for all those served. The EVS Assistant Lead demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills to provide assistance with patient care and department support activities in accordance with department standards. The role includes responsibilities such as ordering supplies, transporting patients, cleaning and turning over OR suites, assisting with preparation for procedures, and other department housekeeping duties. The position performs delegated duties consistent with the employee’s scope of practice, under the supervision of the RN, and assists with direct patient care. When needed, other duties may be assigned by the supervisor. Responsibilities Order supplies. Transport patients. Clean and turn over OR suites in compliance with department policy. Assist with preparation for procedures. Perform additional housekeeping responsibilities. Assist with direct patient care under RN supervision. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous orderly or housekeeping experience in a medical setting preferred. Demonstrates good organizational skills and ability to work as a team. Employee is expected to perform most duties independently with general guidance and direction by the Director of Perioperative Services/Nurse Manager/CNC.
