Team Lead 2nd Shift Location: Toledo, OH Job Type: Full-Time Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM 11:00 PM Pay: $22.00 $24.00 per hour, based on experience Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to join our team in Toledo, OH. This is a full-time, 2nd shift opportunity for a dependable and hands-on leader with experience in manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, quality inspection, production, or supervision. The Team Lead will oversee daily operations, coordinate employees and workstations, support product inspection and containment activities, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable leading employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee employees assigned to production, inspection, containment, and other manufacturing workstations. Coordinate daily shift-start activities, including workstation setup, staffing, paperwork, tools, and materials. Monitor employees to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to established procedures and customer requirements. Oversee product inspection and containment activities to identify quality issues and ensure nonconforming products are properly handled. Provide hands-on training and communicate new work instructions and procedures to employees. Ensure employees follow company safety policies, quality standards, work instructions, and operating procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Ensure appropriate tools, equipment, and materials are available to complete assigned jobs. Monitor and maintain accountability for employees assigned to specific jobs or workstations. Complete end-of-shift responsibilities, including reviewing paperwork, auditing timesheets, and communicating important information to the next shift. Report accidents, injuries, incidents, safety concerns, and policy violations to management immediately. Provide feedback to management regarding employee performance, attendance, productivity, and work quality. Support continuous improvement, quality control, and workplace safety initiatives. Assist with resolving production, quality, staffing, and workflow issues as needed. Lead by example and maintain a professional, productive, and team-oriented work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred. 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Previous experience in automotive manufacturing, manufacturing, production, quality inspection, or containment preferred. Ability to work 2nd shift, overtime, and weekends as needed. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to clearly communicate work instructions and train employees. Basic math and measurement skills. Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Forklift experience is a plus. Schedule & Compensation Full-Time 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM 11:00 PM $22.00 $24.00 per hour, depending on experience Overtime and weekend availability may be required based on business needs.
