Sr Analyst General Accounting

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Analyst, General Accounting for our Dallas, TX location! The role of Senior Accountant - General Accounting is pivotal within our team and involves supporting various accounting activities and month-end closing processes. This position is instrumental in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis, handling complex accounts, and offering accounting assistance to key stakeholders and senior management. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in month-end closing tasks, such as journal entry preparation and posting, ensuring proper documentation for all entries. Review and prepare account reconciliations and analyses, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to explain any variances promptly. Work with accounting leadership and team members to identify and implement process enhancements. Prepare audit schedules for annual or quarterly reviews, and address audit queries from internal and external parties. Provide necessary documentation to support quarterly SEC reporting. Ensure adherence to SOX controls. Contribute to the development and upkeep of accounting policies, processes, and procedures. Participate in special projects and other ad hoc duties as required. Support the maintenance of compliance with U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is essential. A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate or general accounting. CPA certification is preferred. Advanced degree in Accounting or a related business field is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong analytical, collaborative, and communication skills are required.
