Hospice Weekend RN | Pierce & Thurston County

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to provide weekend hospice care for patients in Pierce and Thurston Counties. Care is delivered in private homes, adult family homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities. The RN will respond to urgent calls, manage symptoms, and promote patient comfort and well‑being. Employment Type: Part‑time Schedule: Weekends (Part‑time) Compensation: $52.00 – $60.00 per hour, based on direct hospice experience. Respond promptly to urgent calls, assess situations and deliver appropriate interventions. Administer and adjust medications while monitoring effectiveness for patient comfort. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and address urgent patient needs. Support, educate and guide families, offering reassurance throughout the patient’s care journey. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care, assessments and interventions. Manage emergencies and coordinate with the on‑call team for additional support when necessary. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospice care protocols. Requirements Current, active Washington State RN license in good standing. Active BLS certification. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Minimum 1 year nursing experience in hospice or home health preferred. Minimum 2‑3 years of healthcare‑related experience required. Proficiency with EMR systems and healthcare technologies. Ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative and work independently within scope of practice. Adaptability to diverse social, cultural and religious backgrounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
