Position Overview TexanCare Family Medicine is expanding and seeking a dedicated, compassionate Family Medicine Physician to launch and lead our new clinic location in Kyle, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, collaborative team in a vibrant, family-oriented community. We are looking for a candidate who values a small-town atmosphere with the support of an established independent practice, while contributing to the broader primary care expansion in the region. Practice & Team Details

• Care Setting: 100% Outpatient.
• Schedule: 4.5-day patient encounter work week (Friday afternoons reserved for admin work from home).
• Patient Volume: Average 20–22 patients per day; approximately 6–10 new patient inquiries daily.
• Team Structure: Collaborative environment including 3 physicians 1 Nurse Practitioner, and 1 Licensed Professional Counselor.
• Clinical Support: Physicians utilize Athena EMR and an AI-supported note-taking tool (Open Evidence) to streamline documentation.
• Call: 1 in 5 rotation. Supported by a 24/7 nurse advice line for triage, making after-hours patient callbacks extremely rare.
• Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive outpatient care, including minor procedures (joint injections, women’s health/pap smears, suturing, and small wound care). Must eventually assist in supervising Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Candidate Qualifications

• Education: MD or DO degree.
• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Experience: All experience levels are encouraged to apply; new graduates are welcome.
• Preferences: Spanish fluency is considered a significant plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $240,000 guaranteed for the first year.
• Bonus Opportunity: Up to $20,000 production bonus (based on quality metrics, punctuality, note closure, and community outreach).
• Additional Income Potential: Option to conduct hospice work (4 hours/week from home). Depending on patient load, this can yield an additional $1,000–$2,000 per month.
• Loan Forgiveness: Eligibility for state-based student loan repayment (up to $180,000). Note: Clinic must build its Medicaid panel to qualify.
• Time Off & CME: 3 weeks PTO plus 5 CME days. $3,000 annual CME allowance (can be applied toward insurance premiums).
• Reimbursement: Coverage for Texas licensure and DEA fees.
• Contract: Independent recruitment contract requiring a 36-month Ascension service area agreement.
