Military Insurance Outreach Specialist

Job Description Armed Forces Mutual is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven professional to support membership growth in the Fayetteville, NC market. This role combines community outreach, sales follow-up, and call-center engagement to help connect military members, veterans, and their families with life insurance solutions and related services. This position is ideal for someone who understands and has a strong connection to the Fayetteville military community, enjoys building trust-based relationships, and is comfortable managing a pipeline of warm leads and self-generated opportunities. Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Build and maintain relationships within the local military and veteran community to increase awareness of Armed Forces Mutual's products and services.
- Participate in outreach activities with military, veteran, and community organizations to generate leads and referrals.
- Respond to inbound inquiries and follow up with prospective members through the call-center sales process.
- Contact current and prospective policyholders regarding product information, application status, and outstanding requirements.
- Identify member needs and present appropriate solutions that support both current and future insurance goals.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach, follow-up, and sales activity.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven success in sales, business development, or relationship management.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Ability to represent the organization professionally in community settings and with military audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military service or military spouse, highly preferred.
- Experience in life insurance, financial services and/or military recruiting.
- CLU or FLMI designation.
