Requirements: RN License; BLS; ACLS; NIH; Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission; 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience; Neurology experience; ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications; Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias; Maryland-approved trauma education; 8hrs annual stroke CEs; 4hrs annual trauma-related CEs; CVA/acute stroke care and pre/post-neurosurgery experience; Experience with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury; Feeding-tube care, pre/post-hemodialysis care, renal-failure experience; Surgical drain, wound care/wound VAC, oxygen administration, isolation/PPE experience.
Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patients using bedside EEG, telemetry, and bladder scanning.
• Float within scope to other units such as Med-Surg and Med-Surg/Telemetry as needed.
• Follow unit protocols for stroke, neurology, and trauma patient care.
• Document clinical information accurately using Cerner charting system.
