ECC supports the productions trades by establishing critical needs for welders and other trades to work in their perspective areas across the facility.Production Support Technicians are also responsible for monitoring heat and recording and maintaining those readings in a log bookQualified candidates must be mechanically inclined and have a working knowledge of electricity and of working safely with itThis position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.QualificationsRequired:High school diploma/GED, OR, a minimum of 2 years related technical experience1+ year of experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenanceMust be available to work all shiftsCandidates must possess basic mechanical knowledge to be able to effectively support mechanical repairs when the need should ariseCandidates must be willing to work overtime as neededIndividuals are required to possess their own basic hand toolsPreferred:3+ years with Electrical and Mechanical diagnostic and repair experiencePreference given for Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice ProgramsFamiliarity with ATICTS, MRP II, SPARS, AT&A Timekeeping is desiredJourneyman electrical, pipefitting or plumbing experienceMilitary/Navy experienceSkillsMust possess strong communication and interpersonal skillsApplicant will be required to work in a collaborative team environment and organizational goalsCandidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and with minimal supervisionCandidates must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces and in extreme temperature conditions as requiredPhysical QualificationsClimbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, TwistingEnvironmental AttributesCold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet
