Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR Charlotte, North Carolina On Hold Assignment Overview Days, 3x12hrs 36 hrs/wk Start Date: ASAP Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Actual start date is typically 3-4 weeks from time the offer is received. Start dates are determined based on facility needs and credentialing requirements. Details Work in a hospital Operating Room with 13 ORs plus 1 procedure/cysto room, averaging 45 cases per day Facility features Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designations with no trauma designation CVOR case types include cardiothoracic (CABG, AVR, MVR, mini mitral, septal myomectomy), vascular (fistula creations, transcarotid revascularization, bypasses, dissections), and thoracic (VATS, robotic resections, lobectomies, pericardial windows) Main OR case types span orthopedic, spine, general, breast, podiatry, urology, robotic, GYN, and plastics procedures 12-hour day shifts (7A-7P), 36 hours per week on a 40-hour standard schedule On-call requirements include 4-5 weeknight calls and 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule Weekend work is typically limited to call rotation May be scheduled to work or be on call for holidays in rotation No floating required Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors Supported by 6 OR assistants, receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, and 24/7 anesthesia/CRNA coverage Facility orientation is 1 week for Main OR and 2 weeks for CVOR, structured as five 8-hour shifts Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of OR experience in specialty required, with recent experience within the last year Strong and recent experience with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic cases required for CVOR role EPIC EMR experience required Experience circulating in orthopedic, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, and plastic surgery cases At least one professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN required for consideration Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Circulate and support a high-volume surgical team across both Main OR and CVOR specialty cases Provided facility scrubs and free parking Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel position Candidates must be separated from any employment with the health system for at least 1 year following a permanent position before being eligible to return First-time travelers are welcome to apply These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates. The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
