Senior Platform Engineer – Richardson, TX Serve as Senior Platform Engineer on a premier program, leading the implementation and advancement of DevOps practices, ensuring seamless integration of cutting‑edge tools, cloud technologies, and processes. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary platform engineers and systems administrators to drive innovation in ground systems solutions. Create feature designs, ensure alignment with program objectives and delivery commitments. Work with the Scrum Master to execute Agile development and deliver high‑quality, cloud‑enabled capabilities on schedule. Support delivery and sell‑off of completed work to customers, ensuring technical acceptance and stakeholder satisfaction. Maintain a technical roadmap that keeps the platform aligned with modern DevOps practices, cloud‑native architectures, and relevant COTS solutions. Evaluate emerging technologies, cloud services, and industry trends to continuously improve platform capabilities, security posture, and team effectiveness. Qualifications BS/BA degree in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Physics) and minimum 5 years of related experience. Effective communication skills and ability to interpret complex technical concepts for engineers and stakeholders. Installation, configuration, and maintenance experience of RedHat Linux operating systems. Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef). Active and transferable TS/SCI security clearance required day1 (U.S. citizenship required). Strong working knowledge of servers, networking, storage, and virtualization technologies in enterprise or mission environments. Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and integrating cloud infrastructure solutions, preferably with AWS. Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and toolchains (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory, Helm). DoD8570 IAT LevelII compliance (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent). Advanced troubleshooting of performance, reliability, and availability on Linux‑based platforms. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and operational workflows. Experience designing and delivering solutions within a DevOps framework, including security integration throughout the software lifecycle. Skill in container and platform engineering with Kubernetes and container runtimes (Docker, Podman). Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines to support application teams.
